Ms. Bessie Louella Eyler, 94 of Boonsboro, died Sunday, March 29, 2015, at Fahrney Keedy Home & Village, Boonsboro.
Born July 27, 1920, in York, Pennsylvania, she was a daughter of the late Walter Buhrman and Edith Grace Reichard Eyler.
She was employed by New York Central Iron Works, the Western Maryland Railroad, and the Chessie System, Baltimore.
Ms. Eyler was a member of St. Mark’s Lutheran Church, Hagerstown, where she taught Sunday School for many years.
She was also a member of the Women of the Evangelical Lutheran Church of America; Church Women United; the National Association of Railway Business Women; and TCU, the Transportation Communications International Union.
Surviving is her foster sister, Marie Smith of Baltimore; her brother, Robert E. Eyler of Boonsboro; as well as several nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Bertha R. Kelly.
The Andrew K. Coffman Funeral Home, Hagerstown, is handling the arrangements. There will not be visiting or viewing at the funeral home. A memorial service will held at a later date from her church, St. Mark’s Lutheran Church with inurnment in Rose Hill Cemetery, Hagerstown.
