Bernard Weiss, 88, of 19426 Chapel Creek Drive, Boca Raton, Florida, died Monday, June 6, 2011, in Florida.
Born August 28, 1922, in Norristown, Pennsylvania, he was the son of the late Aaron and Rose Levine Weiss.
Mr. Weiss was preceded by his wife Gloria Denton Weiss, who died August 14, 1972.
He was president and co-owner of Weiss Brother Paper until 1992; and a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania Wharton School of Business.
Mr. Weiss served in the United States Army during World War II.
He was a member of Congregation B’Nai Abraham, where he was a temple board past president and board member.
He was also a member of the Baltimore Colts Corral and member of the Hagerstown Jaycees.
Besides his wife of 33 years, Renee, who resides in Boca Raton, Mr. Weiss is survived by his children, Hilarie Viener of New York, New York, Robert Weiss and wife Barby of Hagerstown, David Weiss and wife Carolyn of Chevy Chase, and Wayne Viener of Gaithersburg; four grandchildren, and sister Anabel Comer of King of Prussia, Pennsylvania.
A funeral service will be held on Friday, June 10, at 11:00 AM, at Andrew K. Coffman Funeral Home, Inc., with Rabbi Scott M. Sperling officiating.
Interment will be in B’Nai Abraham Cemetery.
