Barry Edward Elser, 85, of Chambersburg, passed away, September 13th, 2024, with his wife at his side. He was born October 24th, 1938 to the late H. Smith and Lydia Sterner Elser in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania.
Barry is survived by his loving wife of nine years, Donalynn Elser; his daughter Renee Freeburn of Woodbridge Virginia; brother John Elser and wife Linda of Dauphin Pennsylvania; sister Susan Jewett of Dubuque Iowa; three grandchildren; three great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his son Jonathan Elser.
Barry graduated from Penbrook High School in Penbrook, Pennsylvania, and King’s College in New York, New York. He was a technical instructor for IBM and Verizon. He was a member of the Cumberland Valley Model Railroad Club and an avid collector of model trains.
Arrangements are entrusted to Geisel Funeral Home. Services will be private, scheduled at the convenience of the family.
