Mrs. B. Lorraine Helfrick, 95 of Waynesboro, PA went to be with her Lord and Savior on Wednesday, May 15, 2024, in her home surrounded by her family.

Born November 18, 1928 in Antrim Township, Franklin County, PA she was the daughter of the late Charles R. and Edna B. Daley.

Mrs. Helfrick attended school at Browns Mill in Greencastle, PA.

Mrs. Helfrick and her late husband, Samuel B. Helfrick were married on November 15, 1947 by the late Reverend M.A. Jacob of York, PA. The couple celebrated over 62 years of marriage.

Early in her working career, Mrs. Helfrick was employed in various capacities with her last employment at Teledyne Landis Machine Company, Waynesboro, PA.

Mrs. Helfrick was a member Otterbein Church, Waynesboro, where she was a member of the Helping Hands Sunday School and served on the funeral committee for seven years. She was a life member of the Mechanics Steam & Fire Engine Hose Company, Waynesboro, PA with membership beginning in 1984. She was also a former member of the Mason Dixon Travelers and Sunshine Trailers Camping Club.

Mrs. Helfrick is survived by four children, Linda K. Barnett (Paul) of Waynesboro, Darl L. Helfrick (Pamela) of Greencastle, Raymond E. Helfrick (Deborah) and Douglas B. Helfrick (Kathy) both of Waynesboro; 6 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and 4 great-great-grandchildren with one on the way.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by four sisters: Hazel Bowser, Mildred Plum, Janet Barnhart and Viola Plum; four brothers: Charles Daley, Russell Daley, Alvin Daley and Ellis Daley; several nieces and nephews; and a grandson.

Services will be held on Monday, May 20, 2024 at 10:00 A.M., in Grove-Bowersox Funeral Home, 50 South Broad Street, Waynesboro, PA with Pastor William Shank and Pastor John Hoffman officiating. Burial will follow in Parklawns Memorial Gardens, Chambersburg, PA.

The family will receive family and friends from 5:00 to 7:00 P.M. on Sunday, May 19, 2024 at Grove-Bowersox Funeral Home, 50 South Broad Street, Waynesboro, PA.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Lutheran Home Care and Hospice, 2700 Luther Drive, Chambersburg, PA 17201; Waynesboro Ambulance Squad, 603 West Main Street, Waynesboro, PA 17268; or Medic 2, P.O. Box 447, Waynesboro, PA 17268.
