Mr. Arthur C. “Art” Warnick, Jr., 92, of Waynesboro, PA passed away Friday morning, April 26, 2024, in the Sarah A. Todd Memorial Home, Carlisle, PA.

Born December 8, 1931 in Waynesboro, he was the son of the late Arthur C. Warnick, Sr. and Marybelle (Fisher) Warnick. He was a lifelong resident of the Waynesboro area.

Mr. Warnick graduated from Waynesboro High School with the Class of 1949.

He and his wife of over 50 years, Carol K. (Keplinger) Warnick, were married in September 1973.

In his early life, Mr. Warnick worked for Frick Company, Waynesboro. He later worked at Grove Manufacturing, Shady Grove, PA as a manufacturing engineer and welding instructor. He retired in 1996 after more than 30 years of service with the company.

He was a member of Trinity United Church of Christ, Waynesboro, Acacia Lodge #586 F.&A.M., Waynesboro, where he was a Past Master. He was also a member of Zembo Shrine, Harrisburg Consistory, Knights Templer, Mont Alto Hunting and Fishing Club and Eastern Division TCA.

Mr. Warnick enjoyed model trains, hunting, fishing and gardening.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by two children, Jeffrey K. Warnick of Greencastle, PA and Julie A. Houston of Philadelphia, PA; four grandchildren, Kyle Warnick, Ryan Warnick, Jennipher Barton and Elizabeth (Houston) King; three great-grandchildren, Wesley, Palmer and Arthur; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife and mother to his children, Martha Ann Palmer; and one sister, Jane Wolford.

Services will be held at 11:00 A.M., Monday, May 6, 2024 in Trinity United Church of Christ, 30 W. North St., Waynesboro with Rev. Danielle Neff officiating. A Masonic funeral will be held at 11:00 A.M., Monday morning, in the church, just prior to the religious service by the members of Acacia Lodge #586. Burial will follow in Green Hill Cemetery, Waynesboro.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the services, Monday morning, in the church.
