Mrs. Arlene Kathryn Coberly Robinson, 88, of National Pike, Hagerstown, died Tuesday, June 10, 2014, at Meritus Medical Center, Hagerstown.  She was the wife of the late Victor Clark Robinson, her husband of 53 who preceded her in death on April 13, 1997.

Born June 30, 1925, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, she was a daughter of the late George William and Inez Mildred Vredenburg Coberly.

In addition to serving as an Avon Lady for 35 years, Arlene also worked for Sheets at Huyetts Crossroads.

She served as a Polling Judge at the Conococheague Elementary School, was active with the March of Dimes, and advocate for accessability for the Handicapped.

Surviving are her children, Vicki L. First, and husband Charles of Mechanicsville, Virginia, Steven D. Robinson and wife Cha Yun, of Anchorage, Alaska, and Charlene Gail Carter of Shepherdstown, West Virginia; her daughter-in-law, Peggy A. Robinson of Dargan, Maryland; and nine grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.

Arlene is also survived by siblings, Gladys M. Snethen of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, Mary A. Pederson of Monticello, Iowa, Caroline K. Lala of Cedar Rapids, Millie Boland of Phoenix, Arizona, Cleve E. Coberly of Center Point, Iowa, and John F. Coberly of Marion, Iowa.

Besides her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by two sons Guy F. and Duane C. Robinson; and siblings George A. Coberly, Dorthy E. Snethen, and Ruby J. Mollenhauer.

The funeral service will be held Saturday, June 14, 10:30 AM, at Evangel Baptist Church, 17922 Broadfording Road, Hagerstown, with the Rev. Ronald K. Faith officiating.  The interment will follow services at St. Paul’s Church Cemetery, Clear Spring.



The family will receive friends at Andrew K. Coffman Funeral Home, 40 East Antietam, Hagerstown, on Friday, June 13th, from 6:00 to 8:00 PM.
