Arlene Marie Pabon, 65, of Waynesboro, PA, passed away Wednesday, September 11, 2024, in the emergency room of the Chambersburg Hospital.

Born August 3, 1959 in Bronx, New York City, NY, she was the daughter of Mrs. Irma E. (Estella) Pabon of Mont Alto and the late Jesus Pabon.

Arlene was a teacher in the public school system in the Bronx. She retired in 2014 after 30 years of service.

Catholic by faith, Arlene enjoyed gardening, cooking and Disney movies. She loved a good glass of iced coffee and someone to surprise her. An animal lover, she especially enjoyed the companionship of her dog, Templar.

In addition to her mother, Arlene is survived by a dear aunt, Rosie Estella; three brothers, Thomas Pabon, Robert Pabon and Manny Pabon; close nieces, Sabrina and Katherine; and a number of additional nieces and nephews.

In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her brother, Vincent A. Pabon; and her special dog, Pacino.

Services will be held at 11:00 A.M., Tuesday, September 17, 2024 in Grove-Bowersox Funeral Home, 50 S. Broad St., Waynesboro with the Rev. Christopher Onyeneke, MSSCC, officiating. Burial will follow in Mount Zion Cemetery, near Quincy, PA.

The family will receive friends from 9:00 A.M. until 11:00 A.M., Tuesday morning, in the funeral home.
