Mrs. Anna P. (Freeman) Carbaugh, 90, of Waynesboro, PA, passed away Saturday, October 26, 2024 in Orrstown Personal Care Home.

Born July 9, 1934 in the Fairview area of Quincy Twp., she was the daughter of the late Bertis F. and Goldie I. (Monn) Freeman.

She and her husband, the late Mr. Allen L. “Allie” Carbaugh, were married October 2, 1954. Mr. Carbaugh passed away January 22, 2008.

In her early years, Mrs. Carbaugh was employed by Waynesboro Knitting Mill. She later did seasonal work for Musselman’s Fruits for over 30 years, Mont Alto Nursery and Knouse Foods for many years.

She served as the secretary for Fox Hill Union Sunday School for many years and also worked at the election polls in Quincy.

She enjoyed doing crafts, especially crocheting, throughout the years and working outside, tending her garden and flowers.

Mrs. Carbaugh is survived by two children, Jerry Carbaugh and his wife, Gina of Greencastle, PA and Glenda Miller of Fayetteville, PA; six grandchildren, Megan, Zachary, Christopher, Jessica, Nicole & Travis; nine great-grandchildren; siblings, Lona M. Bumbaugh, Mary D. Misner, Marguerite Welsh, Carol “Sonny” Freeman and Wanda Straley; and a number of nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by son, Allen L. Carbaugh; son-in-law, John W. Miller; sister, Avada “Peggy” Kline; brothers, Franklin “Ted” Freeman, Robert “Jack” Freeman, Bertis M. Freeman, Stanford Freeman, Allen C. “Bubby” Freeman, David “Bill” Freeman, John Ordean Freeman, James Welsh and Junior Welsh.

Services will be held at 11:00 A.M., Thursday, October 31, 2024 in Grove-Bowersox Funeral Home, 50 S. Broad St., Waynesboro. Burial will follow in Mount Zion Cemetery, near Quincy.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M., Wednesday in the funeral home.
