Mrs. Anna Marie (Stottlemyer) Weikert, 87, of Waynesboro, PA, passed away Sunday, June 1, 2025 in her home.
Born May 30, 1938 in Smithsburg, MD, she was the daughter of the late Leister Stottlemyer, Sr. and Minnie Magdaline (Eyler) Stottlemyer.
Mrs. Weikert was a graduate of Smithsburg High School with the Class of 1956.
She and her husband, the late Mr. Eugene Zearfoss Weikert, were married November 6, 1957. They moved to their current residence in 1963. Mr. Weikert passed away September 5, 2002.
Prior to her retirement in June 2000, Mrs. Weikert was a longtime employee of Regency Thermographers. She had previously been employed by Double day and Tab Books.
She was a member of Mt. Zion United Methodist Church in Sabillasville, MD.
A devoted wife, mother and grandmother, Mrs. Weikert had many monikers. She was known as Anna, Annie, Mom and more affectionately as Grandma, Memo & Gigi. She enjoyed doing puzzles, word search books, being in the outdoors, gardening and tending her yard. But most of all, she treasured time spent with her family.
She is survived by three sons, Dennis Eugene Weikert (Amy) of Ashburn, VA and Richard Allen Weikert (Sabina) and David Wayne Weikert (Cathy), both of Waynesboro; daughter, Terry Marie Sebold (Lee Thomas) of Waynesboro; grandchildren, Sarah, Rebecca, Cody, Ian, Peyton, Sophia, Jesse, Blake, Noah, Halle and Dylan; 12 great-grandchildren; one brother, James Stottlemyer; three sisters, Katherine Brown, Martha Shaffer and Dorothy Buhrman; and numerous nieces, nephews and extended family members.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by sister, Mary Effie (Stottlemyer) Buhrman; and brothers, Leister Stottlemyer, Jr., John Stottlemyer, Andrew Stottlemyer and Kenneth Stottlemyer.
The family would like to thank the physicians and nurses of the Waynesboro Hospital Emergency Department as well as the nursing staff on the 3rd Floor for their professional and loving care.
A Celebration of Anna’s Life will be held at 1:00 P.M., Saturday, June 28, 2025 in the social hall at Hawley Memorial Presbyterian Church, 14753 Charmian Road, Blue Ridge Summit. Burial will be at the convenience of the family.
