Mr. Angle M. “Butch” Daley, III, 74, of Greencastle, PA, passed away, Saturday morning, August 17, 2024 surrounded by his family in his home.

Born July 13, 1950, in Hagerstown, MD, he was the son of the late Angle M. Daley Jr. and Virginia (Hoover) Daley Wolfe.

Butch graduated from Greencastle Antrim High School with the class of 1968.

He served his country honorably in the United States Army.

He and his wife, the late Cathy J. (Henson) Daley were married July 13, 1969, in Hagerstown. They enjoyed 35 years together when Mrs. Daley passed away June 30, 2003.

He was employed at Mack Truck for 43 years doing various jobs and holding many positions. He retired in 2015.

Butch was a member of the American Legion Post 373, Greencastle. A simple man, he had an avid love for drag racing and a soft spot for Ford Cobra’s and Mustang’s. With no special occasion being necessary, he was a family man who genuinely enjoyed spending time with his children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.

He is survived by his three children, Angle M. Daley IV, Angela M. Maynard and her husband Brian, Jesse L. Daley, all of Greencastle; 6 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren; three brothers, James Daley of Clearspring, MD, Steve Daley of Mont Alto, PA, and Samuel Daley of Mercersburg, PA.

In addition to his parents, and wife, he was preceded in death by one grandson, Zachary Daley; three sisters, Kathy Daley, Janet Daley, and June Daley; and a brother, Michael Daley.

Services will be held 2:00 P.M., Tuesday, August 20, 2024, in Miller-Bowersox Funeral Home, 521 S. Washington St., Greencastle with Pastor Les Kauffman officiating. Burial will follow in Grand Point Church Cemetery, 3664 Coseytown Road, Greencastle, where full military honors will be conducted by VFW Post 1599 Honor Guard.

Although there will be no public viewing, the family will receive friends one hour prior to the service Tuesday afternoon in the funeral home.
