Mrs. Alice Lavada Snyder Myers, 89, a lifelong resident of Clear Spring, died Monday, April 11, 2016, at Williamsport Nursing Home.  She was the wife of the late Robert Franklin Myers, who died May 6, 2004.

Born August 19, 1926, near Clear Spring, she was the daughter of the late Elmer Elsworth  & Mary Kathryn Gardner Snyder.  She graduated with the class of 1944 from Hagerstown High School; and subsequently, has helped to plan many class reunions.

Mrs. Myers and her husband retired from farming.  She then worked for first for Sears Roebuck Company, Hagerstown; then Homewood at Williamsport, finally retiring in 1988.

She was a member of St. Paul’s Reformed Church, Clear Spring, where she served as church organist for over 45 years, retiring in 1989.  She was a member of the Mens and Ladies Bible Class where she served as Sunday School Pianist.

Surviving is her daughter, Kathleen L. “Kay” Green and husband Robert T. “Bob” of Clear Spring; by brothers, David L. Snyder of Charlotte Hall, and P. Leon Snyder of Hagerstown; by a brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Dale and Dottie Binkley, also of Hagerstown; and sixteen nieces and nephews.

Besides her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by siblings, Milton E. Snyder and Edna Marlene Dingee; brother-in-law Donald R. Dingee; sisters-in-law Rosella and Ethel Snyder; and a nephew, Stuart Snyder.

The Andrew K. Coffman  Funeral Home, Hagerstown, is handling the arrangements.  A memorial service will be held Saturday, April 16, at 11:00 AM, from her church, St. Pauls Reformed Church, 14234 National Pike, Clear Spring, with pastor, Rev. Bradley J. Graybill, officiating.  Inurnment will be private in the church cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Mrs. Myer’s name to Hospice of Washington County, 747 Northern Avenue, Hagerstown, Maryland  21742.
