Nighttime I-81 patching begins Aug. 9 near Chambersburg

CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. — The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) said that a nighttime concrete pavement patching operation will start Sunday, Aug. 9, on northbound Interstate 81 near Chambersburg in Franklin County. The project limits extend from mile marker 18 to Exit 20 for Route 997 (Scotland) in Greene Township.

Weather permitting, night work will be conducted for approximately six nights in the northbound lanes Sunday through Thursday from 7 p.m. to 6 a.m. Lane restrictions will be in place during work hours, and motorists should expect delays.

New Enterprise Stone and Lime Company, Inc., of New Enterprise, Pa., is the contractor for this work.
