GREENCASTLE, Pa. — A 45-year-old Mount Union man has been identified as the victim of Thursday’s car crash in Antrim Township just west of Greencastle.
Russell Booher, 45, of Mount Union, was pronounced dead at the scene by the Franklin County Coroner’s Office, according to the Pennsylvania State Police at Chambersburg. His 82-year-old passenger was taken to a Hagerstown hospital for treatment of suspected minor injuries, police said.
Troopers said Booher was driving a 2007 Hyundai eastbound on Buchanan Trail West when he crossed over the center line and opposite lane, leaving the roadway. The vehicle continued into Conococheague Creek. Both Booher and the passenger were removed from the car by bystanders, troopers said.
