CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. — Pennsylvania State Police are searching for a motorcyclist who fled from troopers and escaped into a field during a pursuit in Franklin County last week.
According to a post shared by PSP Tips, troopers attempted to stop the rider at about 8:30 p.m. Friday in the parking lot of Rutter’s along Lincoln Way West in St. Thomas Township. The motorcyclist did not comply and instead sped away, heading south on Hade Road.
Police said the pursuit continued onto Jack Road and then Warm Spring Road in Hamilton Township. The rider eventually left the roadway and drove into a field, where troopers lost sight of the motorcycle.
Authorities have not identified the suspect but described the rider as wearing a black hat, a two-tone sweatshirt or jacket with black and gray coloring, and green pants. The motorcycle is believed to be a Harley-Davidson bearing a Pennsylvania registration plate.
Troopers are continuing to investigate and are asking for the public’s help in identifying the rider.
