In a thrilling preseason matchup, the Waynesboro Area Senior High School Girls Varsity Softball team secured a 7-5 victory over Middletown High School in a recent scrimmage game. Head Coach Troy Witte expressed optimism about the team’s potential, noting, “We are a younger talented team that I think will compete very well with a couple of returning players that should help our young players fit in and compete.”
This blend of youth and experience is expected to propel the team forward in the upcoming season. The Maidens Softball Booster Club, led by President Teri Bradley, continues to support the team’s endeavors.
