HAGERSTOWN – The Chamber Foundation of Washington County is hosting its inaugural “Chamber Foundation Legacy Fundraiser” on Saturday, Nov. 9, at the Washington County Agricultural Education Center.
Proceeds from the 3 to 10 p.m. event benefit the Washington County Public Schools Apprenticeship Program, by supporting businesses that are mentoring youth apprentices.
During the event, guests will enjoy a dinner prepared by WCPS culinary students, a trivia contest and a cornhole tournament. Guests can purchase chances to win student-created raffle prizes. The prizes include home décor, cutting boards and a full-size wooden bar. Students will also be operating the “WCPS Lunch Box” food truck during the event.
There will be a short program during the event, highlighting the importance of preparing students for future careers through apprenticeships.
“The Chamber and its Foundation focus on growth, community and success. Our local apprenticeship program, in partnership with Washington County Public Schools and with our local businesses, will help ensure the future success for all,” said Chamber President and Chief Executive Officer Paul Frey.
