Letterkenny seeks advisory board members

$1.2 Billion in improveents through 2035

CHAMBERSBURG – Letterkenny Army Depot invites community members interested in participating in environmental restoration efforts in accordance with the Installation Restoration Program. Its mission is to ensure the sustainability of military operations while mitigating their impact on the local environment.

A Restoration Advisory Board is a formal volunteer group that regularly meets to discuss environmental restoration at specific Department of Defense-owned properties The DoD, in coordination with federal and state regulators, oversees the restoration process.

Participation in an advisory board involves a time commitment from volunteers but provides a platform for individuals interested in the DoD cleanup efforts to exchange information with state regulators, Army management, installation personnel and other community members.

Community members interested in volunteering and serving on a Letterkenny Army Depot restoration board or would like additional information, can email the Letterkenny Army Depot Public Affairs Office at [email protected] .
