Penn State Extension Master Gardeners will host a hands-on tree planting workshop Saturday, April 12, from 9 to 11 a.m. at the Ag Heritage Building in Chambersburg.
The “How to Plant a Tree” event will include classroom instruction and a live demonstration on proper planting techniques. Participants will learn how to select, situate and care for young trees to ensure healthy growth.
Registered attendees will receive a free potted tree seedling to take home at the conclusion of the workshop. The registration fee is $15.
The program aims to encourage residents to enhance their landscapes while contributing to local environmental health. Space is limited, and preregistration is required.
