Undeterred by the cool springtime temperatures, Hagerstown families turned out to fly their kites at Mount Aetna Regional Park on Monday, April 6. Hosted by Hagerstown Parks and Recreation, the second-annual Kite Day was a hit with flyers of all ages sailing their kites on this breezy day.

This drop-in event was free for anyone and everyone. The bring-your-own-kite memo made for a diverse display of colorful banners in the sky.

Missed this event? Don’t worry! Another kite flying day will be happening at Hooverville Elementary School in Waynesboro at 11 a.m. on Saturday, April 11. Spring is here, and so are a line-up of festivals and events. Keep up with Hagerstown events at, https://www.visithagerstown.com/events and right here at LocalNews1.org.
