WILLIAMSPORT, Md. — Homewood Living held its 27th annual Strawberry Festival on Saturday, June 6, filling the retirement community’s campus with vendors, food trucks, live entertainment and, of course, strawberry treats.
Attended by Homewood, Hagerstown and Williamsport residents since its inception, the event has become a popular annual tradition.
In the days leading up to the festival, workers and volunteers at Homewood spent time preparing large quantities of strawberries for smoothies, pies and other sweet treats. More than 600 strawberry smoothies and more than 200 pies were sold during the event.
In addition to smoothies and pies, guests enjoyed strawberry shortcake and ice cream. Fresh strawberries were also available for purchase.
Looking ahead, the Leitersburg Peach Festival is scheduled for Aug. 8-9. More information is available online at PF Information.
