HAGERSTOWN, Md. — F&M Trust recently established a new Hagerstown Community College Foundation scholarship entitled the F&M Trust Presidents’ Scholarship. The scholarship fund was established through a pledge during the college’s 75th Anniversary Campaign in 2021.
The F&M Trust Presidents’ Scholarship includes eligibility requirements of demonstrated financial need and residency in Washington County, Maryland, or the Pennsylvania counties of Franklin, Fulton, Huntingdon, Cumberland, Dauphin, or Lancaster.
In the scholarship agreement, F&M Trust provided the following statement regarding the purpose of the scholarship, “F&M Trust created this scholarship opportunity to help Hagerstown Community College expand financial aid for students who are facing affordability challenges, while supporting the college’s goal of increasing overall scholarship funding. The F&M Trust Presidents’ Scholarship reflects the bank’s broader commitment to strengthening the community by investing in student success, future workforce development, and long-term economic prosperity.”
