Hagerstown turns out for Halloween!

HAGERSTOWN – With Halloween right around the corner, Hagerstown residents began their festivities early. On Friday evening, Oct. 24th, the city held a “block party” on Potomac Street. Residents of all ages came out to dance, get candy and get into the Halloween spirit.

Kids, teens, adults and even pets showed up in costume to trick or treat from local businesses and organizations, who set up stands along Potomac street. The event also featured a bounce house and costume contest for kids and adults.

Ahead of the annual Alsatia Mummers Parade, this block party is included in a series of events held by the city of Hagerstown preceding Halloween. The Mummers Parade occurs annually, with 2025 being it’s 98th year. It is a highly anticipated event and is set to take place Saturday, Oct. 25th, at 6 p.m. on Potomac Street.

With the imminent holiday season, readers can keep up with seasonal events by following Downtown Hagerstown’s Facebook page, https://m.facebook.com/HagerstownDowntown/, and Hagerstown’s calendar of events, https://www.visithagerstown.com/events.
