GREENCASTLE, Pa – Greencastle residents will soon have a chance to roll up their sleeves and help beautify their town during the annual community clean-up this weekend.
The event, hosted by the Greencastle-Antrim Chamber of Commerce, will take place Saturday, April 11, from 9 a.m. to noon. The clean-up is free and open to the public. Participants are encouraged to meet at 32 Center Square, in front of Elm Shoes, before teams disperse to collect litter throughout the surrounding areas.
The Chamber invites residents, community groups, clubs and local businesses to take part in the effort to keep the community clean, green and beautiful. Supplies will be provided, though volunteers may bring their own gloves, trash grabbers or buckets for convenience.
Organizers recommend dressing appropriately for outdoor work, with long pants, long sleeves and closed-toe shoes. Volunteers are also advised to dress in layers to adjust for changing weather conditions.
The Chamber’s annual clean-up initiative encourages civic pride and community engagement by bringing people together for a common cause — creating a cleaner, more inviting environment for all.
