GREENCASTLE, Pa. — Meatloaf tops the menu when First United Church of Christ in Greencastle offers a free community lunch at the church’s social hall from 1 1 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 3. The entrance is at the second set of double white doors on the parking lot side of the building.
Also on the Oct. 3 menu is corn, mashed potatoes and gravy, along with applesauce and bottled water. While there is no charge, donations will be accepted.
The church hosts free first Saturday meals on the first Saturday of each month, with exception of weekends that fall over a holiday weekend. Next month, November, the congregation will host a Thanksgiving meal. Limited qualities will be available. They do not take pre-orders — you just need to show up. Quantities are limited, however.
