GREENCASTLE, Pa. — Greencastle-Antrim school community members will gather Wednesday at Tayamentasachta Environmental Center to remember Beth Wilson, a beloved teacher and colleague whose unexpected death has prompted an outpouring of grief and support.
The informal gathering is scheduled for 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. June 24 and is open to students, families, staff and alumni. Organizers said the event is meant to provide a caring space for people to connect, reflect, share memories and support one another during a difficult time.
According to the announcement, guests are welcome to come and go throughout the afternoon. The gathering will not follow a formal agenda, and participants may spend time at the pavilion, visit reflection stations or join others in remembrance.
Organizers are also encouraging attendees to bring favorite memories, cards or photographs to help create a community memory board honoring Wilson’s years of service and the impact she had on students and colleagues.
Wilson died in North Carolina due to an unexpected medical emergency.
