Greencastle-Antrim ranks No. 8 among Pa. impact schools

GREENCASTLE, Pa. — Greencastle-Antrim School District has been named one of the American Heart Association’s Top Impact Schools in Pennsylvania, ranking No. 8 for its participation in heart health education and fundraising initiatives.

The recognition reflects the district’s involvement in several American Heart Association programs, including the Kids Heart Challenge, American Heart Challenge and Finn’s Mission. These initiatives focus on teaching students about heart health, physical activity and lifesaving skills such as Hands-Only CPR and stroke warning signs.

Through the Kids Heart Challenge and American Heart Challenge, students participate in activities that promote wellness while raising funds to support the American Heart Association’s mission. Finn’s Mission provides additional education on emergency response skills and awareness.

The American Heart Association designates Top Impact Schools based on engagement and participation in these programs. Greencastle-Antrim’s placement highlights its role in supporting heart health education within the school community.
