Greencastle-Antrim Athletes Honored with Mid Penn All-Star Selections

GREENCASTLE– Greencastle-Antrim School District has announced that a number of its fall athletes and coaches have been recognized for their outstanding achievements by the Mid Penn Conference.

Coach of the Year and Player of the Year

Aric Bruner, head coach of the Greencastle-Antrim boys’ soccer team, was named the Mid Penn Colonial Division Coach of the Year. Lily Kauffman, a senior on the Greencastle-Antrim girls’ volleyball team, was named the Mid Penn Colonial Division Player of the Year.

First Team All-Stars

Several Greencastle-Antrim athletes were named to the Mid Penn Colonial Division First Team All-Star teams. These athletes include:

  • Field Hockey: Alishya Thurmond
  • Football: Andrew Bowers, Parker Funk, Trent Merillat
  • Soccer: Caleb Baine, Ewan Coy, Ethan Ford, Haley Noblit, Abby Wolfe
  • Volleyball: Abby Eagler, Lily Kauffman, Kylie Kerns, Bri Woodring

Second Team All-Stars

Additional Greencastle-Antrim athletes were named to the Mid Penn Colonial Division Second Team All-Star teams. These athletes include:

  • Field Hockey: Ainsley Swindell, Acacia Long
  • Football: Salleiu Bangura, Carter McCauley, Trent Merillat, Logan Shifflett
  • Soccer: Garrett Decker, Natalie Hanks, Zhen Reuter
  • Volleyball: Emma Pool

Honorable Mention

Several Greencastle-Antrim athletes were also awarded Honorable Mention recognition. These athletes include:

  • Football: Logan Alvey, Carter Coons, Sean Hoch, Connor Rennekamp, Surzano Solomon
  • Soccer: Andrew Bowers, Cooper Noblit, Nolan Sullivan, Shaina Overcash, Aubrey Smith
  • Volleyball: Alaina Garling

The Greencastle-Antrim School District is incredibly proud of its athletes and coaches for their outstanding achievements and dedication to their respective sports. These honors are a testament to the hard work and commitment of all those involved in the Greencastle-Antrim athletic programs.
