CHAMBERSBURG, Pa — The GIANT Company is marking the completion of renovations at two of its Franklin County locations, with grand reopening events scheduled later this week.
After several months of construction, the stores at 925 Norland Ave. and 993 Wayne Ave. in Chambersburg have undergone extensive updates while remaining open to customers throughout the process. Company officials said the upgrades are aimed at improving store layout, expanding product offerings and enhancing the overall shopping experience.
Both locations feature redesigned fresh departments, including produce, bakery, meat and seafood areas, along with refreshed center aisles intended to improve traffic flow and efficiency. The deli and prepared foods sections have been significantly expanded, introducing a wider selection of ready-to-eat meals, hot foods and grab-and-go options.
Shoppers will also notice relocated beer and wine sections, now positioned near the front of each store for easier access. In addition, the company has updated its “Wall of Values” displays, highlighting value-focused products throughout the stores.
Store-specific improvements were also included in the remodels. The Norland Avenue location received a fully redesigned pharmacy, now equipped with a private consultation room for vaccinations and patient services. At the Wayne Avenue store, a new customer service alcove has been added to streamline assistance and transactions.
Store leaders said the changes reflect a continued focus on convenience, variety and customer service.
The Norland Avenue store, which opened in 2007, employs approximately 180 team members. The Wayne Avenue location has operated since 1990 and employs about 145 workers.
Grand reopening celebrations for both stores will begin Friday, July 24, and will feature giveaways, gift card raffles, free cake and product sampling throughout the day.
Both locations are open daily from 6 a.m. to 11 p.m.
