WAYNESBORO, Pa. – Area cooks and gardeners alike can create their own supply of fresh herbs for the kitchen during Buttonwood Nature Center’s upcoming Flavorful Gardening workshop on Tuesday, April 14 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Buttonwood Nature Center.
Held under a tent on Buttonwood grounds, the program will run rain or shine.
Gardening expert Pam Rowland presents a hands-on program about growing herbs in containers. Participants will create and take home a beautiful planter filled with fragrant culinary herbs, while learning tips on planting, care, harvesting and cooking with fresh herbs.
The workshop is open to ages 10 and up and limited to 12 participants. All materials will be provided. The fee is $30 for Buttonwood members and $35 for the general public. Pre-registration is required. Register online at Buttonwood’s website: www.buttonwoodnaturecenter.org.
