WAYNESBORO, Pa. — Waynesboro Mayor Dade Royer formally recognized the life-saving efforts that took place earlier this year during a critical emergency response in Waynesboro. The incident began when the Franklin County Department of Emergency Services 911 Center dispatched Waynesboro Police Department, Waynesboro EMS, WellSpan EMS and the Waynesboro Fire Department to a reported cardiac arrest.
Through rapid response, coordination and effective on-scene care, the patient was transported to a local hospital and has since made a full recovery and returned home.
The meeting also provided a meaningful opportunity for the individual and responders to reunite following the incident. The Waynesboro Police Department is proud to recognize Officer Brandon Benedict for his professionalism, quick thinking and dedication during this call for service. His actions played a key role in the positive outcome of this life-saving event.
