WAYNESBORO, Pa – Children and families hopped into spring Saturday as the Waynesboro Volunteer Fire Department hosted its annual Pictures With the Easter Bunny event.
The fire station’s bays turned festive for the occasion, welcoming children — and even a few pets — to pose for photos with the Easter Bunny. One attendee brought her dog to join in the fun, adding to the cheerful atmosphere.
Each child received a goody bag filled with treats and crafts, including a fireman’s hat, frisbee, safety flyers, and a cartoon printout to color at home. Hard-boiled eggs were provided for decorating, and a coloring table was set up where kids could bring their artistic eggs and cartoon characters to life.
Volunteers also handed out plastic eggs filled with candy, spreading smiles and community spirit. The event combined holiday fun with practical lessons about fire safety — a tradition locals look forward to each spring.
