WAYNESBORO, Pa. — Members of the Future Business Leaders of America chapter at Waynesboro Area Senior High School recently took their skills beyond the classroom by volunteering with Bill Kohler at Mainstreet Waynesboro.
The students lent a hand with the renovation work at Main Street Park, learning about the ongoing building project before rolling up their sleeves to help. Tasks included planting, watering and pulling weeds, unloading a trailer of equipment, and performing various cleanup and maintenance activities around the site.
Kohler shared details about the progress and goals for the park, emphasizing the importance of community involvement in revitalizing downtown spaces. The volunteer event gave students an opportunity to apply teamwork and leadership lessons while supporting a project that benefits local residents and visitors alike.
