Amelia came into the shelter as a stray and she was underweight and had a bad case of fleas. We got her fixed up and is ready to find her forever home. She is a 1-year-old hound mix who can be a little shy with new people, but she does warm up with time. She will need someone that understands that she may need some time to adjust to a new home. Amelia does not seem to mind other dogs and may do better with the right dog in the home to teach her some confidence. She did show interest in the cats here at the shelter but was able to be distracted, so it is recommended that she is supervised around cats in the home until a relationship is established. Look at little Triscuit! He’s a 3-month-old tabby boy who is so adorable and loves to play. He seems to really enjoy the feather toys at the shelter. This young fellow is going to make someone an amazing best friend. Could that someone be you?
