WAYNESBORO, Pa. — Children and adults age 5 to 95 are invited to join Cheryl Deal, occupational therapy professional and Happel’s Meadow Advisory Committee member, to explore the use of natural materials as they create a decorative hanging art piece.
The art will use items found from the natural treasures at Happel’s Meadow (with permission to collect). After gathering “treasures” while walking the trail, participants will assemble them to create hanging art. Nature crafts use materials like leaves, twigs, flowers, rocks and pinecones to make art and to enhance educational activities. Free, no registration. Stringing materials provided or bring your own. Event will be held Saturday, July 11, at 2 p.m.
The entrance to the park is located on the south side of Route 16 six miles east of Waynesboro at the top of the mountain. For map apps: 14356 Buchanan Trail E.
