GREENCASTLE, Pa. — Grace United Church of Christ in Greencastle invites the public to a special musical celebration Sept. 27 as the congregation marks the extensive refurbishment of its historic M.P. Moller pipe organ.
The organ was originally dedicated in 1953, and will be the centerpiece of an Organ Rededication Concert at 4 p.m.
Guest organist Jonathon Leonard serves as organist at two Hagerstown churches. Also, he is the current tonal director with Lewis and Hitchcock Pipe Organ Company in Greencastle. He was one of the technicians for this project and now will use his artistic skills in playing it at this concert.
Church pastor, the Rev. Mark Ruzicka, said a reception with light refreshments will follow the performance in the social hall, offering an opportunity for local faith communities to connect.
