WAYNESBORO – The Waynesboro Area Senior High School will kick off its 2025 Spring Art Show with a live performance by the modern rock trio CLAY BAND on Friday, May 2, from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at 50 West Main St.
The event, which serves as the opening reception for the annual student art exhibition, invites the community to support young artists and musicians. Admission is free.
CLAY BAND, known for its energetic stage presence and indie rock sound, features Kirin C., a member of the Waynesboro Area Senior High School class of 2026, on lead vocals and guitar; Yassmina P., Chambersburg Area Senior High School class of 2025, on backup vocals and bass; and Jude M., WASHS class of 2023, on drums.
The group has quickly gained attention for its powerful rhythms, dynamic guitar riffs and a repertoire that blends familiar tunes with original songs described as both intense and introspective. Organizers say the band is forging its own path in the local music scene rather than following trends, offering audiences a fresh take on modern rock.
The Spring Art Show will showcase a range of visual works by high school students, highlighting the creativity and talent within the Waynesboro area. The reception provides an opportunity for the public to engage with emerging artists and enjoy live music in a community setting.
Attendees are encouraged to come out and experience the raw energy of CLAY BAND while supporting the next generation of local artists.
