WAYNESBORO, Pa. — The sunflowers are in full bloom at the Church of the Apostles, United Church of Christ in Wayne Heights, offering a vibrant summer attraction for residents and visitors alike.
Located at 336 Barnett Ave., the church’s pollinator and wildlife habitat has become a seasonal destination, featuring rows of bright yellow sunflowers that draw both people and pollinating insects. The community is invited to visit the site at any time to enjoy the scenery, take photographs or cut sunflowers to create their own bouquets.
Visitors are encouraged to bring pruners if they wish to take flowers. Organizers ask that guests park on the lawn in designated areas marked by sunflower signs to ensure safety and accessibility.
