Catch a Story and a Craft in Waynesboro’s Snowy Adventure

WAYNESBORO – Gear up for a winter wonderland of words and whimsy. Waynesboro kicks off its Downtown Window StoryWalk series with a magical event on Saturday, Jan. 20. 10 a.m. to noon. Join the fun at the Maker Space in the Alexander Hamilton Memorial Free Library and be among the first 100 children to snag a free copy of “How to Catch a Snowman” – the perfect companion for your storywalk adventure.

As participants stroll through downtown Waynesboro, turn each charming storefront window into a page in the book. Vibrant illustrations and engaging text will be displayed on weatherproof boards, making every step a captivating chapter. And the fun doesn’t stop there! Each child will also receive a free take-and-make craft, allowing them to bring the snowman story to life long after the last page is turned.

This wintry escapade is brought to you by a generous team of sponsors: Doug Tengler, the Waynesboro Area School District, Mainstreet Waynesboro, and the Nora Roberts Foundation. Their dedication ensures that young minds in Waynesboro get to experience the joy of literature in a captivating and interactive way.

So, bundle up, grab your little explorers, and join the community for a captivating journey through words, windows, and wintertime wonder. Remember, the first 100 kids get the storybook and craft, so arrive early and let the snowy adventure begin!
