CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. — The Chambersburg Area School District is reminding parents and guardians to review and update their student’s address and contact information by July 20 to ensure transportation is in place for the first day of the 2026-27 school year.
District officials said updates made after the July 20 deadline may result in delays to student transportation services at the start of the school year.
Families are instructed to review student information through the Sapphire Web Portal and contact their student’s school office to make any necessary changes.
Student bus assignments are expected to be released in mid-August. Additional instructions will be shared with families once access to the Stopfinder app becomes available.
Beginning this school year, transportation information will be provided exclusively through the Stopfinder app. The district said details will no longer be available in Sapphire, nor will they be distributed via email, postcard or the parent portal.
The district has also introduced Infofinder, a tool available on the transportation website that allows families to enter their home address to view a potential school assignment. Officials noted the tool is for informational purposes only and may not reflect final placement.
Families are encouraged to contact the transportation department or student registration office to confirm school assignments, as enrollment numbers and grade-level class sizes may require adjustments to school placement.
