Brink announces candidacy

CHAMBERSBURG–Republican Ian Brink has announced his candidacy for Franklin County District Attorney in the May 16 primary election.

Brink has been an attorney for 23 years and has practiced in Franklin County since 2005. Over the past 18 years he has served Franklin County as Chief Deputy District Attorney and as Chief Public Defender.

He has litigated more than 4,000 criminal cases during his career ranging from summary offenses to criminal homicide.

Brink lives in Shippensburg with his wife of 26 years, Billie Jo. They have a daughter, Abby, who is an honor student at Mount Aloysius College.

“Serving Franklin County for the past 18 years has been an honor. During this time I have gained the experience and fortitude necessary to be your next District Attorney,” he said. “The people of Franklin County need a District Attorney who shares their concerns, conservative values, and is focused on seeking justice to secure a safe community for people to work, run their businesses and raise their families.”

Brink has received the support of Sen. Doug Mastriano, Congressman John Joyce and Representatives Rob Kauffman, Paul Schemel and Rich Irvin.
