BOONSBORO, Md. — Main Street will transform into a festive hub of local shopping and holiday cheer as Boonsboro hosts its annual Girls’ Night Out event on Thursday, Nov. 19, from 5 to 9 p.m.
This year’s event carries an “Ugly Holiday Sweater” theme, encouraging attendees to wear their most creative, festive or humorous seasonal attire. Businesses along Main Street will offer special shopping opportunities, festive treats and refreshments throughout the evening. Local merchants are participating in a townwide stamp card initiative, where visitors who collect stamps at participating storefronts will be entered into a drawing to win a free night’s stay at the Inn BoonsBoro.
In addition to retail offerings, local cultural venues will feature special programming. Turn The Page Bookstore Cafe will host a book signing featuring Nora Roberts, who also writes as J.D. Robb, along with Catherine Cowles, B.K. Borison and Nikki Payne. Down the street, Gifts Inn Boonsboro will host a featured artist demonstration alongside its front gallery exhibit, “The Art of Seeing: Three Perspectives,” highlighting works by Erin Ragheb, Nan Sincero and Tom Gately.
