WAYNESBORO, Pa. – The creators of Waynesboro’s 250th United States birthday banners displayed their work for Waynesboro Rotarians last week.
The creators are Larry Selman along with Greg Small and Andy Smetzer, all experienced graphic artists and illustrators, who donated their time and skills to boost the city’s 250th anniversary of the United States. They are developing banners to place along Main Street from the top of Frick’s Hill to Broad Street.
These are not just any banners but specially developed one-of-a-kind artwork celebrating inventions, events and discoveries that occurred during the past 250 years. Individuals or groups can fund a banner for $85, and it is yours after the celebrations end in September. Banner purchasers can go to Facebook: Waynesboro, PA – JULY 4th Banner BLITZ | Waynesboro PA to learn more about banner purchase.
Rotarians also inducted Mother Ginger Bennett, priest at St. Mary’s Episcopal Church into the club today with her sponsor Dave Thompson doing the pinning honors.
