STATE COLLEGE — Penn State’s Ag Progress Days, the largest outdoor agricultural exposition in Pennsylvania, is set to return from Tuesday, Aug. 13, through Thursday, Aug. 15, with a variety of exhibits and special children’s activities. HARRISBURG — Eight new bills with potential day-to-day impacts for Commonwealth residents have been signed into law by Pennsylvania Gov. Josh Shapiro . Senate Bill 298, which legalizes doorless driving for certain vehicles is one of these. Previously, Pennsylvania was the only state prohibiting this practice, except for off-road driving. The new law allows vehicles with manufacturer-installed removable doors to be driven without them, provided they still have side mirrors and optional net, tube, or half doors. State Sen. HERSHEY — Ronald McDonald House Charities of Central Pennsylvania, Special Olympics Pennsylvania and the Veterans Multi-Service Center will share more than $21,000 in unclaimed property gift cards at an event on Monday. Pennsylvania Treasurer Stacy Garrity will deliver the cards at a 1 p.m. event at the Ronald McDonald House in Hershey, with speakers from each charity also expected to be on hand to speak. Instead of the 100-meter dash, golf, and javelin throw, patients are competing in similar events, such as a wheelchair obstacle course, putting and airplane toss.
