A recent nature walk led to camaraderie and beautiful photos. The Alexander Hamilton Memorial Library invited folks to an in-person walk at the Pat O’Connor Nature Park located at 8264 Lyons Road in Washington Township. The park land was donated to township in 2020 by resident Pat O’Connor, who willed it to the municipality to be used as a recreational area that could benefit and be enjoyed by the public. CHAMBERSBURG—Franklin County commissioners recently launched a recycling app that offers a more streamlined, interactive user experience to their waste disposal. The new app allows users to filter their searches by specific recyclables and materials to identify appropriate drop-off facilities. Users can still search by location to find nearby recycling centers or waste disposal sites, including which facilities are open to the public or restricted to residents of a particular municipality.
