HARRISBURG—Four individuals have been banned from all casinos in Pennsylvania after they left their children unattended so they could gamble in a casino. The Office of Enforcement Counsel presented four cases to the Board involving unattended children left in parked vehicles or in a hotel room at casinos in Pennsylvania. In each case, the parent left a young child or children with no adult supervision so they could go into a casino to gamble. HARRISBURG—It’s official: A casino is coming to the Shippensburg area. The Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board today voted unanimously to award a license to GW Cumberland Op. Co., (Greenwood Gaming & Entertainment, Inc, operator of Parx Casino) to construct a Category 4 casino in Shippensburg Township, Cumberland County. STATE COLLEGE–The National Weather Service has issued a winter weather advisory in effect from 2 to 11 a.m. Thursday. Wet snow is expected across the region, with a total accumulation of 1 to 3 inches. Motorists should plan on slippery road conditions, especially during the morning commute.
