CHAMBERSBURG—Charges have been filed against a corrections officer at the Franklin County Jail and a woman after an investigation into contraband smuggling at the jail. According to Pennsylvania State Police, in March, officers began an investigation into the smuggling of illicit contraband at the jail. During the course of the investigation, it was determined that Alando Ronaldo Wallace, 23, of Chambersburg, who was employed as a corrections officer at the jail, had on numerous occasions smuggled contraband into the secured facility and provide it to inmates in exchange for money. Penn State Mont Alto baseball players wins Hitter of the Week honors Penn State Mont Alto’s Brady Bigler (St. Thomas/James Buchanan) was named the Pennsylvania State University Athletic Conference baseball’s hitter of the week Tuesday following a 6-for-9 week at the plate.
