CHAMBERSBURG – Franklin County Commissioners have proclaimed May 2022 to be Harriet Lane Month in recognition of former first lady and Franklin County native Harriet Lane Johnston. “Franklin County has such a great history. Harriet Lane Johnston’s story is an important part of it, and it’s good that we remind ourselves about it on the occasion of her birthday,” said Commissioner Dave Keller. CHAMBERSBURG – The Franklin County Commissioners have announced that they have received an opinion and order of the Pennsylvania Commonwealth Court that affirms the Pennsylvania Public Utility Commission’s denial of an application made by Transource Pennsylvania LLC to site and construct the Independence Energy Connection Project in portions of Franklin and York counties.
