ROUZERVILLE—The Institute’s Children’s Summer Stories are held every Wednesday from 11 a.m. to noon through July 27 at Red Run Park.  Children will gather in the park to hear stories and enjoy related hands-on activities. The theme for this year’s stories and activities is Summer Fun. The free program is open to preschool and older children, but they must be accompanied by an adult. Registration is not required. CHAMBERSBURG—The Franklin County Commissioners will meet Wednesday, June 29, to discuss a variety of agenda items. Included are: An agreement between the County of Franklin and the Waynesboro Area School District for the School-Based Probation program. The school district agrees to provide $23,517.00 for services during the 2022-2023 school year. Franklin County will carry liability insurance for its employees and the program. CHAMBERSBURG – Residential and recreational areas in and around several Franklin County townships and communities will be sprayed for adult mosquitoes beginning around sunset on June 29. Areas include Frecon Road, Mickey Inn Lane, Mickey Inn Road, Sycamore Grove Road, Creekside Drive, Star Avenue, Monroe Drive, Tyler Driver, Cornerstone Road and Roosevelt Drive in Greene Township.
