WAYNESBORO—The Arts Alliance of Greater Waynesboro will mark its 10th anniversary season with Celebrate Destination ARTS! Weekend on Friday, July 8, through Sunday, July 10, in downtown Waynesboro. The three days of entertainment, art, and community have been curated to celebrate how Waynesboro has developed into an arts destination. CHAMBERSBURG–The United Way’s annual school supply drive will get underway across Franklin County Tuesday, July 5. The Stuff the Bus event provides much-needed school supplies to the five districts in Franklin County–Chambersburg, Greencastle-Antrim, Shippensburg, Tuscarora and Waynesboro. Last year 24, local businesses and organizations participated by displaying school supply collection boxes. In total, county residents helped to provide over $20,000 worth of supplies to local students. CHAMBERSBURG-The Borough of Chambersburg has received a $150,000 grant from the Chesapeake Bay Trust to implement further a green infrastructure project along the borough’s section of the Cumberland Valley Rail Trail in downtown Chambersburg. WAYNESBORO–Waynesboro’s Summer Jubilee was founded by Waynesboro Hospital officials and the Rotary Club of Waynesboro to celebrate the hospital’s 75th Anniversary. The hospital will celebrate its official 100th anniversary in October, but staff got together before this year’s Jubile.
HARRISBURG— More than 260,000 older homeowners, renters and people with disabilities across Pennsylvania will be issued rebates totaling roughly $121.7 million, the Department of Revenue announced.
