WAYNESBORO- The Rotary Club of Waynesboro submitted the following club news: Last Meeting’s Program (2.27.24 bulletin) Brian Stevenson, Coordinator of 911 and Communications for Franklin County, and Glenn Holloway, director of Franklin County Department of Emergency Services discussed the county’s Emergency Services Program. It was noted that the 911 center received over 111,000 calls during 2023, of which approximately 83,000 of them required some sort of emergency response. CHAMBERSBURG – Shippensburg University’s Office of Workforce Development recently hosted its first Introduction to Construction program designed for those seeking a career in the industry. The university partnered with F&M Trust, a community bank headquartered in Chambersburg, for two years to develop the program and to recruit construction industry partners to teach the curriculum.
